Pies, Pancakes and Pumpkins - Oh My!

Pies, Pancakes and Pumpkins - Oh My!

The classic tastes of pumpkin and buttermilk are set to collide this October.

Ask anyone and they’ll tell you—the traveling scent of cinnamon and nutmeg is irresistible. Right on time, the beginning of brisk weather is upon us. And while a stiff breeze is unmistakable, Stillwater’s own Pumpkin Jubilee and American Legion Pancake Breakfast are coming to the rescue. Those particular herbs and spices that creep from everyone’s pantry in fall are much anticipated in a cozy place like Stillwater.

The return of these two delightful festivals is sure to keep up the momentum. The joyous Pumpkin Jubilee will run everyday outside Highland Park United Methodist Church through the end of the month, with carriage rides between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, live music on Thursday nights, and a screening of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Located downtown at 611 S. Main Street the American Legion Pancake Breakfast will be flipping flapjacks on October 22nd, from early morning until 1:00 pm.
