Fridays, Food Trucks & Tunes

Beautiful Young Couple Eating at Market on the Street

There are plenty of reasons to be in Stillwater with your family, whether you’re visiting a student at Oklahoma State University or just enjoying the scene. While the weather is nice this year, there will be Fridays, Food Trucks & Tunes offered the third Friday of each month through October, and the festivities are less than a mile away from Atherton OSU.

These events are family-friendly, and feature live music, food trucks, inflatables, and the ability to attend the OSU Football Home Game Pre-Parties (an option available later in the year). On the next of these events, July 15th, the Val Gladden Band and Smilin Vic & the Soul Monkeys will be performing. These bands will represent the music local to Oklahoma, and combined paint a portrait of country, blues, soul, and jazz.

With over twenty food trucks at the venue, it will also be easy to find a meal to satisfy every member of the family, with no need to be concerned about finding one restaurant that can please everyone. With inflatables also present for children to play on, parents can attend knowing that their family will have fun and be occupied.

For anyone with an interest in the food trucks that call Stillwater their home, there will likely be a handful of local vendors there to show off Stillwater eats. The Hungry Duckling and Purdy Q Mobile Smoke Pit will serve comfort food and barbecue, and for anyone more adventurous, there will be Mediterranean food served by Café Bella on Wheels, Indian Food served by Nilimas, and Japanese food with a contemporary spin served by Pagoda Pizza.

Any little ones might already be tired by the end of this event, but returning to Atherton OSU doesn’t have to end the night. When the kids are tucked in, there’s still an opportunity for parents to enjoy a cocktail, or a glass of wine or beer at The Ranchers Club right at the hotel.
