‘Tis the season for turkey & the Stillwater Christmas Parade of Lights

With Thanksgiving only a few weeks away, Americans from coast to coast are loosening their belts in anticipation of green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, and of course, pumpkin pie. If you’d like to forgo the mess and stress of cooking this year, The Rancher’s Club is making it easy to order your favorite feast to go. Accepting orders from now until noon on Thursday, November 17th, simply call 405-744-5220 or email Gloria at Gloria.lorenzi@okstate.edu to place your chef-prepared Thanksgiving meal – ready for pick up between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday, November 22nd. Aside from gearing up for that late November feast, here in Stillwater we’re also preparing for the annual Christmas Parade of Lights, a long-standing city tradition that will take place this year on Thursday, December 7th, at 7pm. With the parade route just a short walk from our hotel, this yuletide event is not to be missed! Parade participants will include an array of local bands, numerous holiday-themed floats, massive balloon characters like Frosty and the Gingerbread Man, and, rounding out the procession, that jolly old elf himself, the one-and-only Kris Kringle in his magical sleigh. The event is free and is organized on a volunteer basis by the citizens of Stillwater. We hope you’ll join us there to celebrate the wonder of the holiday season.
